Bell | Knott + Associates, the architects designing the UMB building that will go up on the site occupied for nearly 60 years by Roney’s service station, has formally submitted updated construction plans to Prairie Village.

The new plans address a few concerns the city’s planning commission had with the original drawings, which had the building occupying an area up against the intersection of Mission Road and Tomahawk Road that is prone to flooding. A rain garden will be built in the flood plain. The new plans also have the bank’s drive through teller lanes being built in a slightly differently location along Mission Road. To see drawings of the initial schematic, see this previous post.
