BRGR, Dolce Baking get heaping helping of praise from Pitch’s ‘Best of KC’

The Pitch’s annual “Best of KC” issue hit stands today, and Corinth Square’s BRGR took home a coveted accolade: Best Burger.

Citing the “Big Mock,” which pays homage to McDonald’s Big Mac and the Big Boy burger with its “special sauce,” as “a rare culinary case of an imitator surpassing the originals,” BRGR beat out entries from the area’s suddenly booming gourmet burger market.

BRGR also was named “Best New Restaurant” in the Readers’ Choice section of the awards…but the editors bestowed the official honor to Julian in Brookside.

Sweet-toothed Villagers have reason to smile as well: the Village Shops’ Dolce Baking Company was named best bakery in the area.
