Poor billionaires: Mission Hills residents fall in Forbes list of 400 wealthiest Americans
The recession has taken its toll on people across the country. And that includes the uber-wealthy.
Case in point: the two perennial entries from Mission Hills on Forbes magazine’s 400 wealthiest Americans list have fallen several notches this year.
Min Kao, co-founder of navigational instrument maker Garmin, landed at spot 269 on this year’s list with a net worth of $1.5 billion. That’s down from spot 169 last year with a net worth of $1.8 billion. In 2007, he came it at number 64 with a net worth of $4.7 billion.
The Hall family, of Hallmark Cards, dropped from spot 371 to spot 385 with a present net worth of just $1 billion.
Hang in there, fellas.
