Meadowbrook sale to developer complete; golfing to continue

The Kansas City Star reported yesterday that the sale of Meadowbrook Country Club to Caymus Real Estate, a development company that plans to start building residential facilities on the property, was finalized last week.

The sales price is not known, but Meadowbrook rejected an offer of $14.4 million from another company last year.

Club members say the sale will allow the club to continue running as a private entity.
