Johnson County Transit (affectionately referred to as “The JO”) has announced that starting next Tuesday, July 6, it will begin offering flex-route service along the 75th Street corridor, including Prairie Village.
Route 875 Flex will allow riders to have the bus come and pick them up at their homes, provided they are withing three-fourths of a mile of the route, which runs along Quivira Road starting at the KU Edwards Campus, and then turns onto 75th Street where it runs up until Wornall Road.
The JO offers the following instructions to riders interested in scheduling a flex ride pickup:
SERVICE UPON REQUEST:
Call 913-397-7300 at least one business day before you want to ride to schedule your trip. Scheduling is available from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You may be picked up or dropped off at any location within ¾ of a mile of the route (including your home). Your pick-up and drop-off times will be based upon your requested time and bus availability. The bus will travel to all time-points, but may not be available for flagging on route between time-points due to Flex requests.
Passengers should be ready to leave when the driver arrives for their pick-up. If you are unable to make the trip, please call to cancel as early as possible, so that others are able to use the service.
